Distinguished Article Award

The Distinguished Article Award is awarded by the International Society for Biomolecular Archaeology for the best research article on the topic of biomolecular archaeology. The award is made to the first author and corresponding authors of the article.

Nominations are open until one month before the biennial ISBA meeting, and the winning article is announced during the closing session of the ISBA meeting. All peer-reviewed articles published within the 25 months prior to the ISBA meeting are eligible; and at least one author of the article must be a member of the society. Authors are encouraged to nominate their own articles, but nominations of articles by others are also welcome. Articles by authors with close associations to members of the prize committee are not eligible.
